What do I have to do if I want to travel to Canada with my dog?

If you want to travel to Canada with your dog or cat, you must follow the requirements listed in the following link, along with the ones indicated by the airline you are traveling with (rules may vary according to each airline). Look for the section called “Traveling with your pet” or “Traveling with your pet + the airline’s name”.

We suggest neutering/spaying your pet in Mexico, it will be cheaper and on top, you will pay much less for the annual license you must process in Canada. Consider also the health benefits and the responsibility in doing it.

If you have no one to fly your pet with, consider using the services provided by an agency specialized in the transporting of dogs. Google “pet + air” (we are not recommending any in particular, we do not own responsibility for this information).

We do not transport other people’s dogs. The flights kindly offered by flight volunteers (Flight Parents) are for our rescued dogs, which have been previously accepted by Canadian associations.
